How to Apply for CSCS Labourers Card

In order to apply for your Labourers Card (Green Card), you must have achieved The Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment course with Train2Train AND the CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) knowledge test
Step 1: Book the CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) knowledge test - also known as touchscreen test (if you have already completed this, skip to Step 2)
You can book your CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) knowledge test online by following this link – CLICK HERE. This will list all of the test centres local to your postcode.
To book by phone, call 0344 994 4488. Lines are open from 8am to 8pm (Monday to Friday), and from 8am to 12pm (Saturday). The line is closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

The day of the test
- arrive at least 15 minutes before your test starts
- bring your confirmation booking email or letter
- bring ID that includes your photo and signature; read the full ID Policy here.
- After your test, you must keep your Score Report safe as it has important information on it relating to your card application
The cost of taking the HS&E test is £22.50. This fee is paid directly to the CITB and is not included in your Train2Train course fee.
Step 2: Apply for you CSCS Labourers Card - Green Card
Now that you have achieved your Level 1 Health & Safety in a Construction Environment with Train2Train, AND achieved your CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) knowledge test with the CITB. You are now ready to apply for your CSCS Labourers Card – Green Card
- Visit the CSCS Website – https://www.cscs.uk.com/applying-for-cards/ for more information
- Create a CSCS account – Click here to create a CSCS account or login if you already have an account
- Select Individual Applicant
- Enter your contact details
- You will receive a email to confirm your account details
- Begin your application on the ‘My Profile’ screen – click apply for Card
- You will be required to confirm you have passed the above tests
- Add your certificate information and your personal information
- Progress to payment and enter your debit or credit card details – the fee for the Green Card is £36
- Cards will be received in 3-5 days from CSCS
